Q1. What is Oiyaa?

  • A coalition loyalty discount scheme that rewards people for shopping at local businesses.

Q2. How does Oiyaa work?

  • When a consumer downloads the Oiyaa app they receive an individual QR code.
  • The consumer searches on Oiyaa for local businesses to visit.
  • Before paying, Oiyaa consumers present their Oiyaa QR code to the business.
  • The business scans the QR code for the discount available at that business, for that consumer, at that time. The discount is applied and the price charged is reduced in real time.
  • The business collects payment using their payment device.
  • The reduced amount is sent to the payment app.
  • Alternatively the business can use their standalone payment device if using Oiyaa's non-integrated Retailer App.
  • If a consumer makes an online transaction with an Oiyaa business via the Oiyaa app or website then no QR code scanning is required.

Q3. How much does Oiyaa cost?

  • It's FREE to download and FREE to use.

Q4. Where is Oiyaa available?

  • Currently retailers in the UK will be able to join the Oiyaa network.
  • Specific locations will be regularly added.

Q5. Who can join Oiyaa?

  • Anyone aged 18 or over.

Q6. What types of discounts can I get with Oiyaa?

  • Any business will promote a minimum 5% discount on Oiyaa.

Q7. What languages is Oiyaa available in?

  • English.

Q8. What if my mobile has no connection and I can't access the Oiyaa app?

  • Your individual QR code can be added to your mobile wallet.

Q9. What personal details are shared with an Oiyaa business?

  • None of your personal details are shared with an Oiyaa business.

Q10. How can I manage my account?

  • Simply login via the Oiyaa website or mobile application and go to my profile page, from here users can change various information such as password or delete their account.

Q11. How do I keep my account secure?

  • Oiyaa will never email you asking for payment, bank account details or for your password.
  • We will never email asking for personal or financial details, this will be a fraudulent email and we strongly advise that your ignore this.
  • Should your receive any suspicious communication please forward this on to phishing@oiyaa.com and our security team will investigate.

Q12. How do I change my password?

  • Go to the login screen on either the Oiyaa website or mobile application, click "Forgot Password" enter your email address you have registered with, we will then send a link to your email which will link you to a page where you can set a new password for your account.
  • If you remember your password and would like to change it, please go to your profile page either on the Oiyaa website or mobile application and click on "Change Password".

Q13. How can I see a history of my transactions?

  • Via the Oiyaa mobile application or website.

Q14. How can I see confirmation of my bookings or orders?

  • Via the Oiyaa mobile application or website.

Q15. How can I see how much I've saved?

  • Via the Oiyaa mobile application or website.

Q16. If I order from a restaurant on Oiyaa what should I do if I have any allergies?

  • Should you have any food allergies or intolerances or you're placing an order for someone that has, please double check with the restaurant themselves to ensure that the dish can be made without the items you may be allergic too. Additionally, when placing an order, you will have the ability to write down some allergy instructions, here you will be able to let the restaurant know of any allergies or intolerances you may have. We strongly advise a consumer to reach out to the restaurant before placing an order. We cannot promise that a restaurant hasn't changed the ingredients used and will always ask that you notify the restaurant and contact them before placing an order. Oiyaa is a transaction processor and is not responsible for anything else other than facilitating the transaction.

Q17. How can I change my delivery address?

  • When placing an order for delivery, users will see a delivery address after selecting 'for delivery' – users can simply click on the box and change the address.

Q18. I need help with my order?

  • If there is an issue with the items received or your order is late or missing delivery, please contact the retailer directly. If you feel the retailer hasn't resolved the issue in a satisfactory manner please contact Oiyaa.

Q19. Can I leave a review of my order?

  • Absolutely! To leave a review, login to your Oiyaa account and navigate via the website or mobile application. The first way to leave a review is by finding the retailer on either website or application and going into their page, click on review and rate your experience out of five stars. The second way to leave a review would be by logging in, navigating to your order history and selecting the relevant order.

  • The Oiyaa Consumer app can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A simple signup process is required. A consumer can also signup via www.oiyaa.com.

Q1. I've never heard of Oiyaa so how can I trust you?

  • The founders of Oiyaa have been working in the Loyalty Payment industry for over 25 years. Oiyaa's technology was used in the development of Sainsbury's Nectar and BP's rewards programmes.

Q2. How will Oiyaa help my business?

Q3. I can't afford to give all my customers discounts. How can I avoid giving a discount to my loyal customers?

  • Oiyaa doesn't believe in excluding loyal customers. Any business will promote a minimum 5% discount on Oiyaa to all customers. You can tailor specific promotions according to customer gender, age, postcode and passions. Loyal customers will always value discounts and question their loyalty if they discover they are missing out on offers.

  • 4% of the net Oiyaa transaction value (the value after the Oiyaa discount has been applied).

Q10. How do I join Oiyaa?

  • The Oiyaa Retailer app can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A simple signup process is required. A retailer can also signup via www.oiyaa.com.

Q13. How often am I billed?

  • Monthly. Oiyaa will send a merchant a monthly statement detailing the Oiyaa transactions and commission for the previous month. Oiyaa uses GoCardless to ensure a smooth and safe direct debit process for payments between a merchant and Oiyaa.

Q14. Who can complete the business application to join Oiyaa?

  • If you want to apply to join a business in Oiyaa then you must have the authority to commit your business to a contract with us. You must also be a signatory to your business's bank account.

Q15. I want to sign up for multiple stores. How do I do that?

  • If the stores operate under the same company, then you can sign them all up on the same application. If you have different companies then we need to process an application for each separate business.

Q16. How long am I committed to Oiyaa?

  • You may terminate your account at any time.

Q17. How long will it take to process my application?

  • You can live on Oiyaa within 48 hours and we will have a members pack sent to you within 7 days.

  • A Channel Partner will receive a commission of 10% of Oiyaa's 4% transaction fee earned from the Channel Partner's merchants.

  • Yes.

Q7. How long is my contract?

  • There is no minimum contract term. All we ask is that you give us 1 month notice if you decide to leave Oiyaa.

  • Oiyaa will promote retailers which abide by UK law and have a positive online reputation.

Q9. Is Oiyaa available for online retailers?

  • Yes. An online retailer can sell and take payment via Oiyaa. They can also offer collection or delivery options to the consumer.

Q10. Will there be joint marketing?

  • Yes. Oiyaa will collaborate with a Channel Partner to create co-branded collateral and joint messaging to inform merchants.

Q3. How will I as a Business Partner benefit from Oiyaa?

  • Financial Benefits:
  • A business partner will receive a commission of 6.5% of Oiyaa's 4% transaction fee earned from the business partner's Oiyaa consumers spending at any Oiyaa merchants.
  • 2.5% of Oiyaa's 4% transaction fee earned from the business partner's Oiyaa consumers spending at any Oiyaa merchant will be available as a Charity contribution for the business partner to choose where and how much to donate.
  • The business partner will receive commissions for 5 years after which terms can be negotiated.
  • Additional Benefits:
  • Increased loyalty from your consumers for helping them to save money.
  • Opportunities to increase brand awareness and acquire new business via the Oiyaa consumer and merchant network.
